Lord Jesus, be with Dave and his wife Lori. I don't know what all is wrong with Lori, but you do. David tells me they think she has a blood clot and has had a stroke. I pray for the sick. Bless Ted today and heal his body if it be your will. I see Mike is home today. If he is sick, heal his body. But Father, he needs you. I pray you would touch his heart and help him see the need to live for you. Bless Dana, I pray she is feeling better. Help her in all she does and calm her nerves.

My Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful day. Forgive me of all my sins and help me be what you would have me be. I need you every hour of the day and night.
Today would have been Louie's birthday. He would have been 81 years old, and he died when he was 34 years old. He has been gone 46 years. He missed seeing his children grow up, and his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. I know he would have loved them so much. He would have been crazy about the girls, he loved Sandra so much.
I am so thankful for him, even now he is helping me. The V.A. helps me so much, and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have it. He was my first love, and I will always love him. I went over most of the world with him in the sixteen years we were together. I pray he is happy now.

Bless David in his church work and his work. He is getting older, and I know he has to work so they will keep him and not look for someone younger. Help him be able to sell to everyone he sees. He has always worked so hard, bless him Lord Jesus.

"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it."
-Psalm 118:24 NIV
The most frequent challenge I face in my spiritual life is rejoicing in today. Intellectually, I know that each day is a gift from God - we have no guarantee that tomorrow will come. Emotionally, however, because of fears and anxieties that arise in my heart, I am tempted to look to tomorrow for relief.
Yielding to that temptation is unhealthy for my relationship with Christ. I fail to follow the Holy Spirit and forfeit the peace and joy that comes from abiding in Christ today. I also make an idol out of the future, falsely presuming that it will satisfy my need for peace and freedom from the world's entrapments.
The rest of Psalm 118 sheds light on how to make verse 24 real. Give thanks, recognizing God's goodness and love, which are eternal and unchanged. Know that God is my helper, my strength, and my salvation. When I submit to God at the beginning of each day, immersing myself in God's love, I am able to rejoice in the day. I am glad, not because of earthly circumstances, but because of God's love, hidden in my heart.
Prayer:
God, surround us this day with your love and holiness. Protect us from the temptation to fret about tomorrow, and help us to rejoice in today. Amen.

Lord Jesus, bless my family. I plead the blood of Jesus over them all, keep them all safe and close to you. I pray for Christy, she has been having so many health problems. Would you heal her so she can take care of her family? Save the lost ones Lord Jesus. We know you are coming soon, and I pray all the family will be saved.
Bless our country Lord Jesus. May our leaders turn to you, Father, for ways to bring this country back to God.

Each day I am getting older and weaker, but I know Lord Jesus that you will be with me until I take my very last step. Guide me as I struggle along. Help me make the right decisions and help me keep my faith in you and not to worry. I know you will leave me here until you are ready to take me home. Help me not be afraid of what will take place before I go. I know you will always be with me until the end. I love you and I praise you.
